Statement of Faith

  • The Holy Scriptures – We believe the Holy Bible, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, the final authority for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
  • The Triune God – We believe in one eternal God, existing in three distinct but equally divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each deserving worship and obedience. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
  • Jesus Christ – We believe in Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, born of the Virgin Mary, who lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died a substitutionary death on the cross, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and is returning visibly in glory. (John 1:1,14; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
  • The Holy Spirit – We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates believers, indwells, empowers, and equips believers for godly living and service, and imparts spiritual gifts to build up the Church. (John 14:26; 16:8; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13-14)
  • Humanity and Sin – We believe humanity was created by God in His image but fell into sin, becoming spiritually lost, separated from God, and incapable of saving themselves apart from divine grace. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; 6:23)
  • Salvation – We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ, apart from human merit or works. Those who trust in Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; Romans 10:9-10)
  • The Church – We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers who are united by the Holy Spirit, with Christ as the Head. The purpose of the Church is to worship God, proclaim the gospel, equip believers, care for one another, and serve the world in Christ’s name. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:11-16; Matthew 28:18-20)
  • The Ordinances – We believe that Jesus instituted two ordinances for His Church—Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism by immersion symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper commemorates Christ’s sacrificial death and anticipates His return. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
  • Last Things – We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to earth, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, the eternal blessing of the redeemed, and the eternal separation of the lost from the presence of God. (Acts 1:11; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-4)
